2016 has been the year of upsets. First the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the seemingly unstoppable Golden State Warriors; then the Cubs overcame a 100-year losing streak; and now Trump “trumped” the Clinton machine.

ANN ARBOR, MI – At 3:30am on November 9th, less than an hour after Donald Trump was elected the 45th President of the United States, University of Michigan students took to the Diag and the Undergraduate Library to voice their grievances. Some students carried candles while others’ protests were less peaceful.
Our American Democracy
America is not a failed state. Democracy in action means that sometimes we must swallow a bitter pill. In four years we will vote again on a president. In two years many seats in the House and Senate will be up for re-election as well.
