I do not disagree that the ROK’s demands and policies are radical and I do not endorse their practices in any way whatsoever. But it’s high time we acknowledge that there are two ends of the spectrum, and if we can accept radical feminists in our society, we have to be able to accept radical “meninists”.
Board of Regents to Spend $10 Million on Already Renovated Multicultural Center
If the new multicultural center truly is for all cultures on campus, then it is for all students to decide its necessity. If, however, the center is not for all cultures to share, then how can the University justify spending $10 million on an exclusionary institution? We must honestly ask ourselves whether we should abandon democracy to spend so much money on this new center.
Students Complain about ‘Islamophobia’ at Speak-Out
On January 25, Sharing Stories, Building Allyhood: Student Voices Against Islamophobia, an event devoted to student experiences with Islamophobia, packed the Pendleton Room of the Michigan Union. Yet at least some of what was shared might be better characterized as “celebrating victimhood” than combating Islamophobia defined as a hatred of Muslims and Islam.
Folk the Police – The Blind Pig and giving in to P.C.
When long time producer and local radio personality Matthew Altruda invited the Facebook community to comment on his Folk the Police event, he unleashed a torrent of politically correct rhetoric forceful enough to cause him to announce later that the event would be cancelled.

Featuring President Mark Schlissel himself and emceed by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Clarence Page, the event was just one part of a roughly week long “Campuswide Diversity Summit” that focused on increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of Michigan.

Whilst walking in circles and holding signs, protesters chanted such spirited remarks as:
“Hey, hey, ho, ho, tuition fees have got to go!”
“Money for jobs and education, not for war and occupation!”
And my personal favorite, “Education is a right, not just for the rich and white!”
Free Speech Event on Campus Reported as Bias Incident
