This trend of targeted vandalism against conservative and libertarian student organizations is a testament to a disturbing change in political discourse on campus.
More childish than the medium, however, are the messages themselves, which were clearly calculated to be provocative rather than representative of real beliefs. Indeed, the individuals that have been seen around campus sporting “Make America Great Again” hats also happen to be those contributing least to any meaningful dialogue.

The University of Michigan continued to struggle with its official position on sexuality, snow and freedom of expression when a Hall Director reported a giant snow penis as a bias-incident. Apparently the confluence of these three much discussed topics was too much to go undocumented.
